the exchange program was a success!
eventhough we only managed to exchange one choreo each..

Azlan led in teachin us his choreo from freekzy's side..
i must say its DIFFICULT to take on their style..
which is all about sharpness..
listening to the music n beats..
and of course..control!

it was definitely fun learning a new style in HOT rp.

went to compete representing singapore..

which will also be held at Genting..

WOAH! its been like...5 months?! thank god i finally got some time to undust this blog. apologies for the delay, guys!

ok, so whats buzzing??? hmmmm.........

let's start with some late updates. Fantastic Remix has clinched a few places in a few competitions; Jim Beam (2nd) and Da Sho'Case 8 (2nd). but thats not it! at this moment in time, they have embarked on a new journey: Suntec Dance 2009! theyve got through the auditions so do come down to show some love on their heats on the 29th of august, 1pm @ the Suntec Galleria. apart from them, our beloved Fantastic Kids are also in the competition and also got through the auditions! oh my gawd, so exciting!

ain't that reason enough for you to put all other obligations aside and come down to witness Fantastic Crew in action? cause if that aint enough, we also have dancers in the solo category of the competition! for open solo, we have Maliq and Benjy (me!). Maliq has done this before but for me, its my very first time and having experienced the audition, i have no idea how Maliq can do it! its SO scary la, hello. i didnt have to put make-up and my face naturally turned WHITE before i went on stage. (eh, benjy, this one not your blog la. nobody wants to know all this.)

well, both me and Maliq got through to the next round so do come down to give us your support k? trust me, it really isnt easy to be up there alone... -gulp-

a few of the kids joined the junior solo too. we have Zameer, Arfan and little Shamil, who isnt part of the Fantastic Kids but hes related so lets not be stingy with our love, k people?

thats all for our Suntec Dance 2009 updates. now for some extras...

most of you shouldve already realized that Fantastic Crew hasnt been really active lately. its been either Fantastic Remix or Fantastic Kids. but what happened to FANTASTIC CREW? well, no need for worry because WE'RE COMING BACK! yup! plans are coming up to refine, refurnish and relive the crew so look out for us in the distant future! <3

that more or less sums it up for now. check back in when December comes. take care and keep up the loving, earthlings!

DANCEWORKS 2009
as most of you all have already heard, fantastix was crowned champion for the finals! woohoo! in addition, we were also awarded the artistic merit award! this has, indeed, been a fruitful year for fantastic crew and im praying that this fire won't burnout anytime soon.

here's the overall results of the competition:

Street Hip-Hop Extravaganza
its gonna be a production put together by a number of street crews in our local dance industry. crews performing will consist of us (fantastic crew), flair nation etc and it wil be held at non-other than the esplanade theatre! the whole picture is still kinda vague but do look out for it during the 3rd quarter of the year. =)

as much as i can hardly contain my excitement, i am also very tired so im gonna make this monthly update a short one.

danceworks 2009
fankidz- high energy award
fangirls- best costume award
fantastix(the boys)- 2nd placing

sadly, only the kidz and the boys made it into top 4 and into the finals. as hopeful as it seemed, the girls only managed to walk home with a best costume award. but having seen them gone through so much together, they are, without question, winners in my eyes.

well, but as some of us have already noticed, fantastic crew rocked danceworks 2009 and we rocked it as one. knowing that, we are winners in our own hearts the moment we stepped into competition grounds.

with that being said, do come down to i-have-no-idea-where-yet to support FANTASTIC KIDZ and FANTASTIX on the 4th of april at the finals yea? hope to get your loving support. =)

about time i un-dusted this blog. thanks fai, for the reminder. UPDATES!

chingay was awesome!!! i think the best thing about it wasnt doing what we do best to entertain; it was each and every minute we spent together to get closer as one crew, one family. thats where all the meaning lies, dontcha tink?

it went on for 2 days straight but i think the main highlight was on the 2nd day, which was also the day 4 of us had to rush of after our last performance slot for FUNKAMANIA XIV FINALS!

31.1.09 might have been one hell of a hectic day for kimmie, kemboje, wawan and yours truly, but it sure was a night of many surprises and good news. fantastic remix (benjy and wawan) clinched 3rd placing after weeks of gruelling rehearsals while pink dollars (kimmie and kemboje) brought back champion for the crew. there was of course our lovely cheerleaders and dancers amongst the crowd to lead us on no matter how difficult the circumstances were. this sure was a fruiful start of a new year for fantastic crew. but no, it will not end here.

next up for us will be danceworks for 3 of our groups; fantastic girls, fantastic boys (fantastix) and our ever so fantastic kids. ive got a hinch its gonne be one hella of a showdown so hop on by if u can yes?

i guess this is all for now. come back next month for more. =)

HAPPY 2009, EVERYONE!

yeah i know its a little late. many apologies! we've been pretty caught up with lotsa stuff lately.

yes, a year has indeed passed and fantastic crew has indeed been through quite a lot together which proved EFFECTIVE considering the number of achievements gained so far. it sure was tough having gotten this far, but it was all in name of that one passion we all share. so why not right?

i think the greatest hoo-ha in all this new year buzz for the crew would have to be it being able to pull through a year without fading off from the scene one bit. which means we are going strong! yay! *applause*

well, of course we're burning strong. WE HAVE TO. cause the the itinary for the new year has already been planned out. are you ready? lets go.

we will be featured in this year's chingay as part of the pre-parade segment to keep the crowd coming in. its gonna be a collabo between the dancers and our very own cheerleaders. dont miss out on this 8-minutes phenomenon produced by the most unlikely combition of cast.

as you all have already known, Fantastic Crew entered a competition organized by the Styles From Beyond called Beyond Your Style. well, here's the outcome.

1st - Fantastic Crew (hooray!!!)

the points were sooo close. nonetheless, good job, guys! do remember to keep it real and lets not let this one victory blind our ego yes?

sorry for the delay, readers. it has been really hectic lately.

alright, heres the deal:

our mother group, fantastic crew, has entered the finals for beyond your style which will be held on the 13th of december. do come down for its a rare chance to see a combination of all the fantastic crew groups, which includes the kids, the pinoy siblings and the rest of the adults. dont miss it!

ENOUGH entered a competition at zhenghua CC called da hiphop affair 5 but sadly, did not attain any placing. but we believe that after every downfall, there is some lesson to be picked up. so we are still keeping an open mind and moving on. thanks to all who have supported anyway, and apologies if we've caused any disappointment.

i am sorry to announce that the previous camp plan has turned out to be a FAILURE simply because of the poor response; thus, unable to cover the costly necessities.

BUT...

we will still carry on with the camp without the luxury of a camp site. instead, it will be held at east coast park on this coming friday, 21st november. it will be a 2 day thing filled with activities (as planned previously).

a fee of $15 dollars will be charged for the booking of the bbq pit, food etc.

for documents regarding things to bring, camp rules and the 2-day schedule, please find Ewan or me, Benjy, or anyone who has gone for the breifing on saturday such as Fairul and Gee.

(it' your responsibilty to ASK if you didnt attend any briefings which has been notified, thank you very much.)

Hi all. Its Benjy bringing you the latest buzz again. =))

One of the main highlights for the remainder of 2008 will have to be the up and coming FANTASTIC CREW DANCE CAMP. It is currently still under construction but here's what all of you needa know and what all of you can do to help out:

Camp dates will be on the 19th, 20th and 21st of November.

It will be a stay-in camp with food and lodging provided. Therefore, a camp fee of $30 dollars will apply. Why so expensive? Come down for the briefing and Hakim will tell you why.

Location would most probably be in Sembawang.

The tentative organizers for this camp will be Benjy, Hakim, Kaykay and your favorite Abang Ewan.

While Hakim and Kaykay work on the programming for the 3-day camp, me and Ewan will need ALL of your loving consideration to let us know if you are attending this gathering or not.

Of course, this camp can be considered COMPULSORY if you actually still regard yourself as part of Fantastic Crew. So everyone's presence will be much appreciated.

Upon deciding to turn up, we will need you to fill up an indemnity form and a parental consent form for those below the age of 18. The forms are available in the previous post.

FORMS ARE TO BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BY LATEST THIS COMING SATURDAY. THIS IS TO ALLOW US (THE ORGANIZERS) TO FURTHER PLAN. READ BOTTOM POST FOR MORE DETAILS REGARDING THE FORMS.

This camp will undoubtedly be tweaked to suit everyone's enjoyment needs BUT safety is still top priority. Thus, there are some rules and regulations that will have to be abided to.

(Please take note that this would most probably not be an all-adult camp. We are running a "family show" here, people.)

Further elaborations will be made during the camp briefing, which will be held this coming Saturday at Republic Polytechnic, W4. Please be there by 630pm, latest 7pm. If unable to attend, kindly get a friend of yours to note whatever important points that will be discussed and fill you in on it the next time you guys meet.

(Just for this once, can we all just stop feeling2 adult and flashback into innocent Secondary school mode? )

Hello crew and the world around. Its Benjy posting.

Alright. UPDATES!

A newly formed group of ours, Enough!, got into the finals for Breathe: Dancebeats; a dance competition held by the Health Promotion Board to promote a healthy lifestyle. Heard its a rather big event so do come down this Friday, 7th of November, 7pm @ The Padang if you guys are free yea? The kids, F'JR, did take part but unfortunately, did not make it to the next round. But its this kind of failures that will make us someone in the future. Identify the flaws, work on it, improve, and keep on ROCKING. Keep that up and id so wanna see what you all will turn out to be 5 years from now. I bet it'll be astonishing. We love you, kids. =)

Our dear, ever-enthusiastic kids are now currently having their break and at the same time, taking this period to earn some bucks. Ok, so maybe its not exactly a BREAK but im sure doing something new could prove to be refreshing.
Geez...now im envious.

Classick and Sick are also having their short break but not for long as they will be appearing as guest performers for the upcoming competition held at Zhenghua CC; Da Hip-Hop Affair 5. It will be on the 6th of December so watch out for them!

Ok now im gonna touch on a totally different topic...

This here, is Muhammad Ridzwan bin Rashid aka E1.

This brotherly figure of ours has worked his ass off to bring this crew to where it is now.

(Yes, the crew. As in, each and EVERY one of us.)

From burning his own pockets, to taking time off to help in every way possible.

That is our dear Abang E1 for you.

Now, im sure we all think he deserves this time-off from all the chaos, slowly putting the bits and pieces of his own life back together.

Fantastic Crew will always be behind you, abang. With many blessings and many loves, we thank you and YEARN for the day we see you looney and all-smiley again. GO! Do whatever it takes to get that man back. The crew will be more than happy to assist.

Hey loves of my life, CONGRATULATIONS for putting up a good show at the STREET MOVES Competition and especially to CLASSICK for winning top honours. Not forgetting, Enough! n Fantastic Kidz gave a good fight in the finals. Keep up the great job and passion and in no time, people will know, we're here to dominate! HaHaHaHa...Well we're just having fun and living our life to the fullest dear friends.

For CODE EDGE 2, only passed less than a week ago, CLASSICK gave a terrific shot at the finals but even though the results may not be pleasing, it shall be in our spirit to not give up and persist on!

Nevertheless, our upcoming November and December will be super packed. With DanceBeatz just round the corner, keep innovating and be discipline with rehearsals for Enough! and F'JR. Ah hah, talk about a new name, Fantastic Boys have initiated a new nick for themselves. Come on give them some love. F'JR it will be. FANTASTIC JUNIORS or wut?!?....hee

Next up, DANZ WARS Finals falls on the same day as DANCEBEATZ Auditions. Nevermind if we can't be there to give the moral support. We shall give back by voting for them on the Official Danz War Site. Just click on the poster on our left panel and you'll figure what to do! For SICK, you guys work it and do a good job. Specialists are everywhere around you so if you need feedback and help, we're here for you!

ok some updates, OUR BIRTHDAY CAMP is in the corner! We need a location and chalets are difficult to get. Seeking all of you to tap into your connections and alert all if a chalet is available! We are Officially Launching Project FanCrew!

It's high time we get some things done to further establish a stronger identity for our crew.
Over this past year, we have seen many requests to do this and that for the crew and we shall not procrastinate any further. Project FanCrew aims to track down the many tasks that can be done to create a more distinctive identity for the Crew.

Fantastic Crew is formed to spread the love and passion of dance through learning and sharing with one another. It is within us that we selflessly contribute our talent and effort to form this crew and we are proud to be in it because this product we have become is an experience so unique, fun and different and definitely has a positive effect on our dance endeavours. We are not just some other dance group in town but We are Family. From Fantastic Four to SICK to Fantastic Kidz and to the many other smaller dance efforts, we just cannot deny how much we love dance. Remember, Fantastic Crew will never be possible without you.

PROJECT FANCREW has begun and why don't we put on our thinking caps and contribute your ideas. Here are some ongoing projects that might excite you!
